FAQs
COMMON Questions
- What kinds of collectibles do you buy?
- Graded and raw trading cards, sealed sports and Pokémon wax, game-used and signed memorabilia, vintage video games and consoles, comics, and limited-run designer toys and figures. If you are unsure, send a photo before you make the trip.
- Do cards need to be graded first?
- No — we buy raw. Grading takes months and costs money up front, and for most cards the fee eats the gain. If a card is genuinely high-end we will tell you when grading is worth doing rather than quietly buying it under grade value.
- How do you value a sealed box or case?
- By recent comparable sales for that exact product and print run, adjusted for how the seal and corners have held up. Factory shrink that is intact and tight matters a lot; a resealed or re-shrunk box is worth dramatically less, and we can tell the difference.
- Do you buy signed items without a certificate?
- Sometimes. A PSA, JSA or Beckett certificate makes it straightforward. Without one we judge the signature against known exemplars and pay accordingly — an unauthenticated autograph is worth real money only when the signature and the provenance both hold up.
- Can I sell one card, or do you want the whole collection?
- Either. Single high-value cards are welcome, and so are full binders and long boxes. For large collections it is worth calling ahead so we can set aside proper counter time to go through it with you.
