SELL YOUR Chanel Classic Flap for Cash in Brooklyn, NYC
The Classic Flap is the most reliable resale bag Chanel makes, and its position has been reinforced by the house's own pricing. Chanel has raised retail on this bag repeatedly and steeply over the past several years. Every increase lifts the floor under the used market, because a pre-owned Flap is now measured against a boutique price far higher than the one its original owner paid.
That has made buying a used Classic Flap a rational decision rather than a compromise, and it is why the bag moves quickly for us at almost any condition tier.
The variable that matters most is leather. Caviar is grained, resilient and forgiving; lambskin is smooth, beautiful, and scratches if you look at it directly. Two bags of the same age and the same use can sit in completely different condition tiers because of which leather they were made in.

What Moves The Number
WHAT YOUR Offer DEPENDS ON
Caviar against lambskin
The most consequential factor after size. Caviar resists scratching and holds shape, so it ages into good condition. Lambskin marks from ordinary handling and loses its puff at the quilt lines. Buyers know this and price accordingly, and so do we.
Corners and quilt definition
The four corners rub first. On lambskin, the second thing to go is the definition of the quilting itself — the diamonds flatten and the bag reads tired even without visible damage. Neither can be restored convincingly.
Chain and hardware plating
The interwoven leather-and-chain strap wears where it folds, and the plating on the CC turnlock rubs with normal opening and closing. Plating loss is one of the few things a buyer treats as genuinely irreversible, and it is worth protecting on a bag you plan to sell.
Size against demand
Medium and Jumbo are the two sizes that move consistently. The Maxi has softened considerably in demand. Small and Mini are strong but a narrower market. Size affects how fast we can place the bag, and our offer reflects that.

FAQs
CHANEL CLASSIC FLAP Questions
How much is a used Chanel Classic Flap worth?
More than most sellers assume, because Chanel's repeated retail increases have pulled the whole used market up behind them. Size, leather and condition set the actual number — a Medium caviar in excellent condition is the strongest common case we see. Bring it in and we will price the specific bag.
Is caviar or lambskin worth more?
Caviar, in nearly every comparison. It resists the scratching and corner wear that lambskin shows within months of normal use, so caviar bags arrive in better condition and sell faster. A pristine lambskin flap still prices very strongly — there are simply far fewer of them.
Do I need the authenticity card, box and dust bag?
They help and we would rather have them, particularly on newer bags. They are not required. Note that Chanel replaced the serial sticker with an embedded microchip on recent production, so a bag with no sticker is not automatically suspect — we check the chip instead.
My lambskin flap is scratched. Will you still buy it?
Yes. Scratched lambskin is one of the most common bags through our door and it still has a clear market. Please do not attempt to condition or buff it first — home treatment on lambskin usually deepens the marks and adds a shine that is harder to price than the original scratch.
How do you authenticate a Chanel flap?
We check the serial or microchip against the construction era, the stitch count per quilt diamond, the alignment of the quilting across the flap and sides, the hardware weight, engraving and plating, and the interior stamp. It takes a few minutes and we will show you what we are looking at.
